Florida Tech College Radio's Audience
Florida Institute of Technology is a private coeducational university offering graduate and undergraduate degrees from its accredited colleges, which include: Science and Liberal Arts, Engineering, Aeronautics, Management and Psychology. When you advertise with FTCR you will reach over 5,000 students and faculty members. A study conducted under the supervision of Charles, J. Keuthan, professor of management, estimated Florida Tech's direct economic impact on Brevard County to be $60 milling annually. The group's survey of the university showed that students spend an estimated $29 million in Brevard County annually primarily on food, off-campus housing, transportation, health and personal care, entertainment, durable goods, along with miscellaneous items and services. Policies
General

  1. FTCR reserves the right to edit or reject any PSA or Commercial at any time.
  2. Verbal agreements, promises, or waivers of any nature not contained in this advertisement sheet shall not be binding unless in writing and signed by the party and Program Director
  3. All PSA's and Commercials must be paid in advance.
  4. PSA's or Commercials more than 60 seconds in length will be charged the maximum price.
  5. FTCR Student Run Radio will not accept any advertising that promotes academic dishonesty, violates federal or state laws, or encourages discrimination against any group or individual on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, age, color, creed, national origin, or disability.
  6. PSA's or Commercials having the appearance of news must have the word "Advertisement" stated before and after the message.
  7. No ad position is guaranteed. When possible, FTCR will honor position requests.
  8. FTCR will not be responsible for incorrect playback of submitted material by the advertiser if submitted after the deadline.
  9. Accounts which are more than 30 days overdue will not be allowed to advertise further until their debt is paid in full.
  10. All political advertisement must conform to federal and state election laws.
  11. Clear sponsorship must be stated at the end of each PSA or Commercial
  12. Non-profit organizations may submit Public Service Announcements for DJ's to read on their show.
  13. Where appropriate, the advertising policy used by the Crimson will be the guideline for FTCR.

Cancellations

  1. PSA's or Commercials may be cancelled until 14 days prior to on air playback at no charge.
  2. Ads cancelled after 14 days prior to playback but before 5 days will be charged a 25% production charge.
  3. Ads cancelled within 5 days before playback will not be refunded.

Adjustments

  1. To be considered for refund of credit, claims alleging real damage must be made no more than seven days after publication of the ad.
  2. FTCR's liability, if any, will not exceed the charge for the time occupied by the error. Refund or credit will be given for the first playback only.

Contracts

  1. Contracts are made solely for the purpose of advertising related to the advertiser's place of business. The contract agreements may not be transferred to any person, firm or organization.
  2. In the event that the advertiser fails to use the agreed amount of space and time before the expiration of the contract or ceases to do business before the fulfillment of the contract, the advertiser shall pay FTCR for all space purchased under contract.

Deadlines
The deadline for submitting an advertisement is 18 days before the air date. If you wish the ad to be played before 18 days there will be a $5.00 charge.

Pricing
Commercials / Advertisements (Business Rate)
$50.00 for the first 30 seconds and $2.00 for each additional second.

Student Organization Spots
Student organizations receive 50% discount on commercials and advertisement (business rate).

Public Service Announcements
$5.00 for the first 30 seconds and $0.25 for each additional second.

Student Classified Advertisements
Classified ads 30 seconds or less in length are free. Each additional second costs $0.50.
